TBFM DJ AJ To Be Crowned Worlds Youngest Radio DJ!
Six Year old DJ AJ from Pershore in Worcestershire will be hoping to set a World Record when she hosts her very own Radio Show “The Sunday Morning Service” on Sunday 28th October 2012, at The Swan Inn, in Evesham. To mark this auspicious occasion TBFM are holding a charity event with live music, interviews and more, with the charity focus on local children’s charities. DJ AJ hosts a regular Radio show “The Sunday Morning Service” with her father Steve J on TBFM Online.
AJ with over 200 regular listeners is set to smash this record on the morning of 28th October. AJ first became interested in music at the young age of 3 and was regularly spotted “jamming”, singing and playing Air Guitar in front of the TV to music shows like Kerrang and Scuzz. When her sister became interested in singing she was only 4 and would go to every event and gig that her sister had the opportunity to sing at.
Steve J got involved with TBFM during 2010 when he was promoting local Worcestershire bands including his eldest daughters band Rara and the Vine Project and started formally working for the station as a live events photographer at the 25th Bull Dog Bash in 2011.
When he became an active member of the TBFM crew and DJ shortly after, AJ would insist on going along too. She now never misses a gig and helps at all; meeting bands, running the radio decks during stage changes and doing interviews as well as being caught on camera hanging out back stage.
She has already met with many unsigned bands and many mainstream bands with the likes of Dave Evans (formerly from AC/DC) and Dr and the Medics. She recently attended the BMF Tailender Show in Peterborough and introduced all the live bands at the show; up on stage in front of thousands.
Clive Jackson (the Doctor from Dr and the Medics) said after the event “I can’t believe little AJ is a DJ on her own show, she got up on stage in front of thousands and introduced me and the band so clearly and precisely, it was an honour”.

We will be inviting a few of AJs favourite unsigned bands along to the event, hoping that they will perform and support the fundraising and give her a chance to interview them live on air. There will also be a few guest appearances from other bands and many of the TBFM DJs and fans.
