The talented guys that are Exit State just keep on giving! Yes the new album lives up to all expectations, a beautifully crafted piece of work. Having followed the bands progress for 6 six years I had no doubts that this would be a cracking album from four talented individuals, who have delivered the songs, writing and a quality of production on this their 3rd album.
From the stomping opener ‘Pull The Thread’ which you can check out the video for online, the album is chok-full of rifftastik goodness! Next up is ‘Sun In My Eyes‘, a faster paced song and dare I say it, a bit ’cockrocking!’ which of course to me is a good thing!
The catchy as hell title track ‘Let’s See It All‘ keeps up the pace and is undoubtedly an Exit State song, I personally think they have a sound of their own. ‘The Pain I Demand’ comes in with a quiet intro, always the sign of an epic song and yes it builds to a wonderful climax after some excellent guitar work, another Exit State masterpiece.
’Sugarcoat‘, is a heavier energetic slice of the band, but still keeping up the melody, as is ‘Die Zombie‘, except with angrier vocals. ‘Lenny’ struts in with a great riff and kicks in at various points and has a bit of everything.
The fantastic ‘Elastic’ took a while to grow on me live, but now I love it and it comes across as a highlight on the album. With a hint of Muse, ‘Save Us From Ourselves’ comes swirling into proceedings and has my foot tapping throughout, as does the whole album!
Check out the drums and bass in ‘This Part Of Me’, this song will give you a pounding. The wonderful ’Crystalline’ beautifully finishes off a fantastic album.
