Hummdrumm Records Present
Everafter with their new single Who You Are taken from the album Everything Is One.
“Brimming with potential, guitar music at its best. I’ve just got to work with them.”
Chris Tsangarides (Record Producer)
Following on from the release of their debut single Horizons Wide, which received strong support across the UK student radio network and regional specialist shows, East London trio Everafter release Who You Are, the second single from their hard rock debut album Everything Is One.
As with their previous releases, Who You Are is produced by legendary Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy producer Chris
Tsangarides and sees Everafter quicken the pace with this second single. Driving powerchords à la Metallica kick in right from the get go, before lead vocalist and songwriter Alexis Daperis declares ‘Universal Consciousness resides in everything’ – part of the song’s straight ahead and positive lyric.
The brainchild of brothers Alexis and Stefan Daperis, alongside their good friend Tim Wiltshire, Everafter first performed at The White Hart in New Cross, South London, and have gone on to play The Water Rats in Kings Cross, and recently in Wormwood Scrubs prison. Continuing along the prison theme, there’re plans to play Pentonville Prison as well, and a German tour is also in the pipeline.
The Daperis brothers share songwriting duties, along with lead vocals on the album. While Alexis’ songs cover issues of ambition & rites of passage, Stefan’s tell stories of first love & personal relationships. An overall sense of positivity comes across in the album with a keen sense of melody pointing towards a promising future for Everafter.
The band’s collaboration with producer Chris Tsangarides early on in their career had a large impact on their recording process. During this time Everafter also became renowned for experimenting at their early gigs so that new material could be tested ‘in the field’. As well as the latest single Who You Are, other noteworthy tracks from the album include the previous single Horizons Wide, title track Everything is One, & the energy packed Luminosity.
The band’s influences range from Weezer, Green Day & Nirvana through to early Clash and Blink 182. For upcoming gig listings and current band activities, please visit the band’s website.
