The inaugural Breaking Bands Festival, taking place over the late May bank holiday 22-24th May 2015 has sold out all tickets with just over 3 weeks to spare.
The festival, the brainchild of Jason McGuire, owner of TBFM Radio was set into action in March 2014 with one thing in mind… the festival WILL happen.
With so many festivals falling upon their swords over the past few years Jay and the festival team decided the way the festival could be guaranteed was to not rely on ticket sales but to have the full financial budget already in a bank account before even finding a venue.
After 13 grueling months of hard work the team today can sit back and relax and get ready for a weekend of awesome music.
Many of the bands playing have put Breaking Bands Festival down on their tour posters as one of their most important gigs of the year. Every single band have put so much time and effort into promoting the event and stage manager Steve Jacobs said he is delighted with the excitement and passion the bands have shown as the festival has been building to a climax.
With almost 800 bands already registering their emails for next years festival, plans are underway to make the second year even bigger.
“The feedback and the interraction from the public has been one of the biggest and best parts of the organising of the festival” Jay says.
The festival team have not only managed to put on the event with a tiny ticket price but also secured fixed price food and drink so that everyone can enjoy the weekend without breaking the bank balance. All freshly cooked meals are £3.50 and pints of beers, ales and ciders will be £2.60-3.00 making the whole event truly one of the best value festivals in the UK.
The bands are ready, the sunshine has been booked and now the countdown is on!
