I’m sat her in the TBFM shed listening to some new releases and there is one that stands out from the crowd: Breed 77’s Drown. It is rare for aband to gain acceptance across the wide spectrum of metal scene but Breed 77 have it and its well deserved.
The track hits hard from the start with a heavy guitar riff from DANNY & PEDRO and PAUL ISOLA’s vocals are raw and earthy. The beat held together brilliantly by STUART and ANDRE keeps up its pace until it reaches the more melodic chorus but even this carries a raw undertone. The guitar solo is more classic rock but even this has a metal influence with some harmonic swoops cutting through the string bending.
