Playing the Friday, Jonathan Davis, Munky, Head, Fieldy and Ray – aka nu-metal legends KoRn – return to the stage they tore apart in 2013. Joining KoRn and Rammstein on the Friday will be rock royalty Motörhead. Rolling on to Saturday, the almighty Deftones descend on Donington. With their eighth album due next year, the band will be riding high come June on what’ll no doubt be one of the biggest releases of the year. Adding another explosive set to the second day will be masters of metal Megadeth, who will also be smashing their way through new tracks from their upcoming album ‘Dystopia’. This marks the metal band’s fifth time at Download, and you’ve have made yourselves pretty vocal about how much you’ve wanted them back since 2012. Your wish is our command.
We’re not easing up on Sunday, with the additions of Nightwish and Disturbed. Symphonic metal doesn’t get better than Nightwish, who will unleash their operatic duets and shredding guitars on the final day. 2015 has seen Disturbed rise up from the ashes to everyone’s delight, releasing the incredible ‘Immortalized’, so we thought it was time we got the guys back to Download to blast their way through one of the best back catalogues metal has ever heard.
