We are very honoured to announce another new TBFM partnership. We will be bringing another fantastic new show to TBFM on the first Sunday of every month 3-5pm UK time that is chosen by the public.
Its called ‘Crobar’s Pump The Jukebox’ and is the brainchild of Max & Aaron on behalf of Soho heavy metal venue The Crobar. Max Smith & Aaron Hazan started hotel radio with the intention of producing rock/metal radio that help support and promote the work of the true icons of the current scene.
The ‘Crobar’s Pump The Jukebox’ show was created to celebrate it’s famous jukebox. Every month sees the listener confronted and assaulted by the the top 20 tracks that have been pumped through the bar’s speakers. Listeners can effect and play a part in the monthly top 20 by getting down to the venue and “PUMPING THAT JUKEBOX”. Also, through social media and an on-line presence, new bands fight it out for a hallowed monthly spot on the ACTUAL in-house Crobar Jukebox.
Max from Hotel-Radio said “We wanted to share the power of the Crobar jukebox with the world and therefore needed a trusted place for it to live outside of our four walls. TBFM and their true passion for Heavy Metal and access to true metal fans all over the world seemed like the only place to go.”
Station boss Mucka Jay replied “We love this idea at TBFM because it gets independent music into a thriving London venue via their jukebox and it gets people to the venues supporting them too! This can only be a win win situation and TBFM really are extremely excited to be the station chosen to run this show”.
We will be playing the March edition (first episode) this Sunday 23rd March from 3pm til 5pm UK time then it will be aired on the first Sunday of the month.
Now for the extra exciting bit… TBFM will be putting forward ONE band a month to go onto the most exciting jukebox in London as we recommend our jukebox band of the month to the Crobar. This is just another way we at TBFM are bringing the music and the people together. Listen to the shows to find out more and who knows, your favourite independent band could be getting aired in one of the busiest venues in London next month!
