TBFM’s 4th Birthday Bash is fast approaching!!. We’ve extended this event to 2 days following the success of last years bash. The dates are confirmed as Friday 31st May and Saturday 1st June 2013, and the venue is QUEENS HALL in Nuneaton.
FRIDAY 31ST MAY 2013
Friday night will be an 80’s extravaganza, featuring the UK’s finest Whitesnake tribute band, FAKESNAKE as main support for UK chart-toppers DR & THE MEDICS! Also playing on the Friday evening is the fantastic MASSIVE WAGONS from Lancaster – 5 mates who love music, girls and beer and just happen to be great musicians!… and the brilliant local 5 piece ‘grunge’ band RESIN…
Starting as a three piece acoustic act James, chez and Sime were playing local haunts armed with an arsenal of classic grunge and rock covers. At the end of 2010 Sev the Beardy bass player joined the ranks followed shortly by Mark on drums and occasional cello. It was obvious from the outset there was something special coming together…
Massive Wagons are a young British 5 piece Rock and Roll band in the great British Rock tradition. No gimmicks, poncy haircuts, stupid clothes or bollocks claims – just straight up, in yer face heavy ROCK AND ROLL. With a musical style that combines the best influences of Rock – Think Saxon without all the twiddly bits, Black Spiders for the fun, Motorhead for the heaviness and AC/DC for the awesome tunes, throw in a bit of Saxon and Thunder and you’ve got Massive Wagons.
Formed in January 2010, Fakesnake are based in Norfolk, UK. They are the UK’s premier Whitesnake tribute band. After an extensive gigging schedule through 2011, the band went into the studio and completed a new two track demo. Their current live show is based around the Whitesnake album “Live In The Shadow Of The Blues”
More bands for the Friday line-up will be announced soon.
SATURDAY 1ST JUNE 2013
Renowned for their fist-pumping, high octane live performances, Falling Red has earned a live reputation that has had them compared to acts such as Green Day, Black Veil Brides and Guns N’ Roses – A reputation that recently led to the band being booked as main support to Steel Panther for their entire November 2012 UK tour. Falling Red performed their own ‘Rock Revolution Tour’ in March 2013, and are now writing new material before heading to the studio to complete the recording of their sophomore album, ‘Empire Of The Damned’.
Supporting them will be a fantastic line-up of rock, punk rock, glam rock and a bit of sleaze too. Check out the bands we’ve announced so far below:
NEW GENERATION SUPERSTARS
New Generation Superstars first blazed onto the scene in 2005 with their no frills, no fuss rock music. Too punk for the rock crowd, and too rock for the punk crowd, NGS forged a sound that appealed to all. Speeding up the tempo and turning up the amps, it wasn’t long before NGS had attracted a local following with growing momentum that spread across the nation with both fans and music press alike.
With a dead eye stare & street punk sneer, Velvet Star hit you like a juggernaut travelling at high speed. Their cocktail of razor sharp riffs, low end grinding bass & leering vocal assault are gelled together tightly by the machine gun barrage of drums. Their songs have such massive anthem choruses that your brain will remind you all day & night just how damn good they are as you subconsciously wander around humming or singing them.
After spending the last 7 years cutting their teeth playing live in every rock pub and dingy bar that would have them, Blue Origin have built their reputation on providing an incendiary show in any location. With a raw, fearless and unrelenting sound Blue Origin should not, under any circumstance, be missed.
DEATH VALLEY KNIGHTS
Blending themes as varied as bikers, the occult, alcohol and dirty women, Death Valley Knights are a London-based hard rock/metal band looking to help you bang your heads, throw the horns and slam copious amounts of beer – featuring Jake Thorsen on guitar & vocals from I AM I.
Forming in Coventry and surrounding areas of the midlands, The Glassguns forge together different genres of rock music keeping a base starting point of 70’s rock and the powerful and energetic modern hard rock… Creating the best sound they possibly can! The Glassguns concentrate solely on progression, evolution and taking new steps, ensuring that the ever sustained ambition to have the chance to play alongside bands that inspired them enough to start making music in the first place.
Fyre Power formed from the ashes of one of Cumbria’s most loved Classic Rock bands, Self Inflicted. Now heavier & harder the band have really found their Classic British Metal sound with the addition of new guitarists Jed Farish & Shane Kirk
BLACK STAR BULLET
Black Star Bullet are a four piece rock band hailing from Coventry and the surrounding areas. Trev, Andy, Martin and Gav have been together for some considerable time and this shows in their professional attitude towards song writing and playing both live and in the studio.
