VISTA CHINO, formerly Kyuss Lives! have announced Canadian rock outfit MONSTER TRUCK as special guests on their upcoming UK tour.
Born in 2009 from the ashes of various Canadian Indie bands, MONSTER TRUCK began as a sonic affront to the very industry its members were bred from. After feeling more like cogs in the music industry machine, Jon Harvey (bass & lead vocals), Jeremy Widerman (guitar & vocals), Brandon Bliss (organ & vocals) and Steve Kiely (drums & vocals) broke free to forge their own path. A ground swell of regional fans quickly began rushing to any local venue to see the band perform live. In 2012, Monster Truck was handpicked to open for Slash on his North American tour as well as sold-out dates in support of legends Deep Purple.
VISTA CHINO features John Garcia (Kyuss), Brant Bjork (Kyuss), Bruno Fevery (Kyuss Lives) and Mike Dean (Corrosion Of Cornformity). They will be playing the classics of Kyuss, along with new songs from the album “Peace”. John Garcia comments: “I’m super excited about this new record “Peace” and coming back over to Europe and connecting with all of our kick ass fans. Expect Kyuss songs with the ever amazing Mike Dean from Corrosion of Conformity on bass, and of course brand new Vista Chino tunes… We can’t wait and see you soon”. Brant Bjork added: “Vista Chino can’t wait to bring the fresh jams along with the Kyuss classics to the wonderland that is Europe. Be there or be square.”
Rising from the desert sands that birthed Kyuss Lives, Vista Chino sound is instantly familiar. With the trademark soulful vocals of John Garcia, the songwriting and production of Brant Bjork (drums) and the fuzz-laden riffage of imported guitarist Bruno Fevery, Vista Chino’s debut is one of the year’s most anticipated heavy rock albums.
‘PEACE’ is released on Napalm Records on September 2, 2013 in the UK.
