From a small idea came a brand new festival, in the midst of so many festivals failing but 2 years of planning, upfront funding and great vision and support from bands and the public put Breaking Bands Festival firmly on the calendar last year selling out a month in advance of the event.
This year, the festival has gone one better. Releasing more tickets for sale for 2016 due to the capacity of the venue and also dropping the day tickets completely in an effort to get more people staying for the full weekend to support every single band, the festival has sold out again, in record time!
So with 2 months to spare, the festival team are now putting the final touches on the event, held in Bromsgrove 27-29th May. Reign of Fury are Friday headliners, with Demark’s Evil Masquerade making their UK debut Saturday night and topping off the weekend is special guest Blaze Bayley at the end of his 70+ gig tour of 20 countries.
This is a festival that looks to become ‘THE’ opening event of the Summer and there’s already plans to expand the festival in 2017. Tickets for next year will be on sale at just £20 during this years festival, rising to £30 for the remainder of the time.
No hints of who will be playing next year have been announced but it is likely to be another fantastic line-up of the best independent rock, punk and metal they can possibly muster.
