CLISSON, FRANCE, JUNE 20, 21 & 22, 2014…
I’m sure you are all probably aware by now of the amazing announcement that was previously made about the Hellfest line up for this year.
Long-awaited by HellFest fans for years, IRON MAIDEN will be Friday’s headlining act on the opening night of the festival bringing their immensely successful Maiden England show to Clisson. It’s an event in every sense of the word since the English band has not played in the West area of France since… forever and they are by far one of the France’s favorite heavy metal bands.
Hellfest “usuals” ROB ZOMBIE and SLAYER will also be performing on the same day.
Saturday will be marked by the American invasion, namely AEROSMITH, a band that continues to produce an impressive number of hits. The dinosaurs of rock will also rear their heads (and guitars) with DEEP PURPLE and STATUS QUO (with its infamous Frantic Four line-up) also hitting the stage, while AVENGED SEVENFOLD, who recently topped the charts in the US and numerous other countries, will raise temperatures with an inflammatory show which proves just how hot they have been getting in France.
And to close the festival, the very honorable high dignitaries of heavy metal BLACK SABBATH will headline Sunday ahead of SOUNDGARDEN and MEGADETH! With such a rockin’ end, we can confirm that no other French festival has ever had the audacity to bring together so many rock legends in just one event, not to mention the 148 other bands that are scheduled to perform.
Having moved to a comfortable new home of 55 hectares, accommodating six stages and big enough to welcome 120,000 fans in three days, HellFest will rock your socks off on June 20, 21 and 22, 2014 in Clisson. For a whole weekend, this small medieval town, located about 30 km from Nantes, will once again become the world capital of extreme music for fans of the genre, but also for a wider audience that, year after year, continues to join the headbanging festival-goers from hell.
