L.A. Guns have completed recording their new studio album, the band’s first since 2005’s ‘Tales From The Strip‘, having recently signed a new recording contract. Voodoo Six have started work on their 3rd studio album.
Guns & Roses or Axl & the 3 H‘s (his hired hands) hit the UK in May and the Quireboys in April. We were splendidly entertained by Those Dirty Words at the Tache Rock Club in Blackpool last week. A surprisingly rockin town at the moment! On the night we could have also gone to 2 other free gigs.
We watched a couple of new bands in the Cedar Tavern and were especially taken by the rockabilly punk of Dick Venom & the Terrortones. Before that we headed out to the Sanctuary Rock Club in Burnley for funky Fantasist boys and Nightvision. Falling Red have headline shows at the Underworld in London and Manchester academy. The gig year has finally kicked in!
